Submission of RPGT form must be made via e-CKHT on MyTax portal from January 2025, says IRB

PUTRAJAYA: The submission of the Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) Form electronically via e-CKHT on the MyTax portal will be mandatory starting Jan 1, 2025.

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) in a statement on Monday (Nov 25) said that the submission of the RPGT Form can be made at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/.

"Visit the website and log into MyTax by selecting the type of identification and entering your password.

"If you do not have a Tax Identification Number (TIN), an application can be made by registering for a TIN via the e-Daftar link on MyTax. Users need to select the ezHASIL Services menu > eCKHT, choose the type of RPGT Form, and fill in the relevant information,” the statement said.

It said that authorised lawyers and licensed tax agents appointed are permitted to access e-CKHT on behalf of taxpayers through the following platforms; licensed tax agents via TaeF System version 2.0; and Lawyers via the Lawyer Role in MyTax.

The statement said that IRB is committed to enhancing service quality as a more flexible and dynamic facilitator agency, remaining relevant and exceeding expectations for all parties.

"The mandatory implementation of form submission via e-CKHT aligns with technological transformation and the digitisation of the tax service system to improve IRB services for taxpayers in handling RPGT matters without the need to visit the office,” the statement added. - Bernama
