KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in Kelantan has worsened, while conditions in Terengganu are improving and Johor remains unchanged as of 8pm on Tuesday (Nov 26)

In KELANTAN, five temporary relief centres (PPS) were opened tonight in the districts of Jeli and Kuala Krai, bringing the total number of evacuees in the state to 141 from 47 families, up from 80 individuals this morning.

According to the Social Welfare Department's (JKM) Info Bencana portal, three PPS were opened in Jeli: Dewan Orang Ramai Kesedar Sungai Satan, which houses 33 evacuees from 10 families; Masjid Gemang, which houses 27 evacuees from nine families; and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Legeh, which houses three evacuees from one family.

A check of the InfoBanjir portal shows that water levels at Sungai Tersat in Kampung Sekayu (F1), Hulu Terengganu; Sungai Besut at Jambatan Keruak, Besut; and Sungai Tebak at Jambatan Tebak, Kemaman have exceeded the warning marks.

Four other locations – Parit Utama in Padang Kemunting (F1), Kuala Nerus; Sungai Dungun at Kampung Pasir Raja, Dungun; Sungai Kemaman at Jambatan Air Putih, Kemaman; and Sungai Nerus at Kampung Bukit, Setiu – have surpassed the alert level.
