‘Hehe…’ says ex-Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin after Umno membership reinstated

IPOH: Former Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has responded to news of Umno supreme council's revocation of his suspension as a party member with a "Hehe".

This was stated in a message he sent to reporters on Tuesday (Nov 26), reported Sinar Harian.

"Hehe... sorry, I am in Kuala Lumpur," he wrote without further elaboration.

Tajuddin had been suspended for six years starting in September 2022 for criticising the party and had submitted appeals four times.

On Monday, the Umno supreme council unanimously decided to lift and revoke Tajuddin’s suspension as a party member, effective immediately.

Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki reportedly stated that the decision was made during the supreme council meeting held at the World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur on Monday (Nov 25) night.

In addition to Tajuddin, several other Umno leaders faced similar suspensions, including former party vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and former information chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan.
