On edge over school shock hazard


PARENTS of pupils at SJK(T) Ladang Semenyih are worried after a cow was killed by an electric shock on a walkway the kids use, Makkal Osai reported.

Parent-teacher association (PTA) deputy president Jeeva Arumugam said he was contacted by parents who expressed concern about the safety of the pupils.

It is believed that the cow was killed by a power leak.

Jeeva said this made parents worry about the safety of their children in the school, adding that a police report has been filed.

The PTA and school board also urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.

Thaiyalnayagi, 52, boarded the government-run bus at her village in Kadalur, Tamil Nadu.

When the bus was passing Puthupettai, her seat near the back of the bus collapsed suddenly.The unlucky woman fell on the steps of the bus and onto the road to the shock of other passengers who immediately alerted the driver to stop.
