300 SPM students attend workshop

IN an effort to boost the results of students taking the SPM Tamil paper this year, a group of expert teachers in the subject gathered to provide a workshop for 300 students in Johor.

Malaysia Nanban reported that the workshop, which was held at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Skudai, was made possible through the efforts of the Johor Baru Secondary Schools Tamil Subject Committee.

Committee member Dr S. Ravichandran said the workshop was conducted by L. Inbarasan, a well-known teacher in the subject.

Committee secretary C. Margaret said the students benefited immensely from their engagement with the teachers in their preparation for the paper.

Johor Samuganala Membattu Iyakkam secretary Tamilsudar R. Sethupathi and member Tamilmuthu K. Poobalan attended as special guests to motivate the students, she said.
