Firefighters rescue baby girl locked in car


Quick response: Firefighters gaining access to the car using special equipment.

KOTA KINABALU: A family member had to call firefighters to free a nine-month-old baby girl who was locked inside a car in Sabah’s east coast Sandakan district.

Sandakan Fire and Rescue station chief Severinus@Mohd Nidzam Sainkui said they were alerted to the incident at Sentosa Apartment at 6.52am yesterday.

He said a team arrived at the location eight minutes later.

“Our men unlocked the car with special equipment to rescue the baby,” he said.
