Flood victims rise to 592 victims in Johor


JOHOR BARU: The number of flood victims in Johor reached 592 people from 175 families at 8am Sunday, compared to 507 people from 152 families at 8pm on Saturday night.

The state disaster management committee said there are now 14 temporary relief centres in operation in the two affected districts, namely Tangkak and Segamat.

“As of 8am, there are 311 people from 98 families placed at three relief centres in Tangkak.

“While in Segamat, there are 281 people from 77 families placed at 11 relief centres,” the committee said in a statement.
