Industry giants to share expertise and inspire innovation

PETALING JAYA: Industry heavyweights will share their expertise from cashless systems and e-commerce to food and logistics at the highly anticipated 5th World Association Presidents’ Conference (WAPC).

As part of one of the most commonly used e-wallets, TNG Digital chief executive officer Alan Ni will share his expertise as being at the helm of Malaysia’s cashless transformation under the Digital E-commerce and Finance Management segment.

A University of Rochester MBA graduate, he has over two decades of expertise in consumer and commercial finance, in addition to a global track record in risk and fraud management.

Another prominent speaker is Tencent Cloud Malaysia business development director Saw Shinyi, who leads Tencent Cloud’s growth in the country and has extensive experience in IT and business development.

Saw’s career spans critical roles at Alibaba.com and Tencent Cloud where she has been instrumental in advancing cloud adoption and digital transformation.

Her efforts ensure Tencent Cloud remains at the forefront of technological innovation with cutting-edge AI, big data and IoT solutions globally.

Speaking at the Port, Logistics and Industrial Park segment, Malaysia-China Kuantan International Logistics Park chief executive officer Wan Yu brings his expertise in international engineering and economic development.

He has spent over a decade managing large-scale infrastructure projects under the Belt and Road Initiative.

His expertise lies in international investment, compliance management and dispute resolution, driving impactful development in the Malaysia-China economic corridor.

In the Food and Agriculture segment, Chew Eng Loke, a veteran leader with over three decades in finance and management, will share his insights.

As the man behind Leong Hup International’s success, Chew has steered the company to the forefront of South-East Asia’s poultry industry, encompassing livestock feed production, broiler and egg production and food processing.

The WAPC is jointly organised by MCA, the Malaysia-China Friendship Association and the Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This is the first time Malaysia is hosting the event with the theme Promoting Trade Liberalisation and Advancing Economic Globalisation at Wisma MCA starting tomorrow.

With a focus on fostering collaborations and discussing emerging global trends, the event will feature exclusive roundtable meetings across six key sectors.

The multinational conference will see the attendance of some 700 leaders and entrepreneurs.

Participants will deliberate government policies for entrepreneurs, grasp future trends and be given networking opportunities for businesses to expand their contacts and collaborations.
