Flood-affected universities can hold virtual classes, says Zambry

KUALA LUMPUR: Universities impacted by the floods will have the option to conduct classes virtually, according to Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The Higher Education Minister, speaking at a press conference at Wisma Perwira, stated that the ministry has granted approval to affected universities.

"We are very flexible. There are many options available and there is no issue.

"Right now it is for those in affected states such as in Kelantan and Terengganu. They know what is needed to implement it," he said.

Earlier in the day, both Zambry and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin signed a memorandum of understanding between their two ministries and with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).
