KUALA LUMPUR: The Bandar Malaysia development plan is being reviewed before it will be submitted to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said the review was necessary to incorporate feedback and various stakeholder perspectives to ensure that the development achieves its objectives.

"Given that Bandar Malaysia is one of the largest remaining government-owned plots of land in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, this review is crucial to ensure that its development contributes significantly to the city's economy," he said in a parliamentary written reply Tuesday (Dec 3).
Fong Kui Lun (PH-Bukit Bintang) had asked the Finance Ministry for updates on the project and if it was progressing according to plan.
Anwar stressed that the development of Bandar Malaysia must adhere to the principles of responsible development, balancing the ecosystem while providing affordable housing for the people.
