KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood evacuees in Johor and Pahang remains at 47 seeking shelter at two temporary relief centres as at 8am Sunday (Dec 15).

In JOHOR, 36 victims from 11 families continue to take refuge at the relief centre in Balai Raya Kampung Batu Badak, Segamat district.

Johor State Disaster Management Committee chairman Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani noted that the water level at the Sungai Muar station in Buloh Kasap, Segamat, has risen above the warning level, hitting a reading of 8.80m.

Dr Azmi also said forecasts indicated clear weather across nine districts in Johor, with the exception of Mersing, which would be cloudy on Sunday morning.

They are currently being housed at the Balairaya Kampung Baru Pertanian.
