KOTA KINABALU: Fresh graduates will receive RM300 monthly for six months if Parti KDM becomes part of the government after the next Sabah polls.
This is the latest pledge made by its president Datuk Peter Anthony during the launch of the party’s election machinery for the Kemabong state constituency in the Tenom district.
The Melalap assemblyman said the assistance is necessary to reduce the financial burden of new graduates while they search for jobs.
"That is why our manifesto for the 17th state election includes the provision of RM300 to new graduates for six months," he said on Saturday (December 14).
Anthony also announced a RM500 cash assistance for single mothers for a year if KDM forms part of the government.
KDM deputy president Datuk Wetrom Bahanda also attended the event.
The former Sabah infrastructure development minister previously outlined seven pledges as part of the party's election manifesto. These include establishing a bank and airline for the state and improving the current land management system, which involves exploring the possibility of granting land to Sabahans who are non-landowners.
