A FRIEND in need is a friend indeed, as Rozita Che Wan (pic) had experienced when her friend, entrepreneur Mohamad Anas Zahrin, settled the RM7,000 owed by the actress to a contractor for the installation of artificial grass at her home.
“Alhamdulillah, he has helped me pay RM7,000. He is a true friend. It’s not easy to have a friend like him.
“He was willing to help me when I was in need and he had done so without my knowledge,” said a grateful Rozita, or Che Ta as she is known, reported Kosmo!.
The contractor, known as Bani Rahman, who had earlier disclosed the outstanding amount owed to him since a year ago, has since taken down his social media posts.
The contractor had also previously claimed that when the grass installation job was reaching a late stage, he was shocked to learn that Che Ta had suddenly engaged another company to do it.
Che Ta then claimed that a new company was sponsoring the artificial grass.
Che Ta was embroiled in a controversy when it was reported that Majlis Amanah Rakyat, along with its lawyers and court representatives, raided her residence in Kota Damansara, Selangor, recently, following allegations that the 51-year-old actress had failed to settle a near-RM1mil loan.
> A 24,000-strong crowd showed up at Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur to catch “The Journey of Sound: Judika & Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza” on Saturday, according to Harian Metro.
The extravaganza featured Siti and the Indonesian crooner performing more than 30 songs, including medleys.
A delighted Siti, 45, was overjoyed to see the large turnout, saying that “the previous concert at Axiata Arena could only fit 12,000 people but this concert had 24,000”.
“Thank you, all,” she said.
Judika, 46, too, said it has been his dream to perform at Merdeka Stadium.
Both singers made a spectacular entry into the stadium riding a sports car, which circled the venue before the duo took their place on stage.
