A TEENAGER stabbed his teacher after getting reprimanded for bringing a handphone to school, Malaysia Nanban reported. The attack happened at a private school in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

It all began when several students in Grade 11 (Form 6) were caught with their phones in school last Wednesday.

Rajendra Prasad, who is an English teacher, spotted them and berated the offenders.

He took away their phones as the school has a strict “no handphone” policy.

Even though the phones were returned to them at the end of the day, one of the students was still unhappy about it.

The day after on Thursday, the teenager attacked Rajendra with a knife while he was taking attendance in class.

The teacher was rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to a district hospital due to the seriousness of the injury.

Police confiscated the weapon.

Apparently, the young assailant was aided by two other students – one who supplied the knife and another who helped them during the attack.
