MUAR: Several videos from a closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) recording showing two armed robbers breaking into a house at Taman Sri Treh here have gone viral.
In the first video, a suspect holding a sharp weapon was seen hiding behind a gate while a Perodua Myvi believed to be driven by an accomplice entered the garage of a house.
The two suspects wore gloves and were seen walking into the victim’s house carrying a machete and a crowbar.
In the next video, one of the suspects wearing a black shirt, hat and a face mask enters the living room where the occupants, a woman and a baby, are sleeping on the sofa.
Another suspect was seen entering a room of the house looking for valuables.
Not long after, two men believed to be family members of the house occupants, arrived and began checking the Myvi before one of them was attacked by the two suspects.
The suspect started the Myvi engine and crashed into a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a motorcycle parked in front of the house.
The suspects then escaped in the white Myvi.
It is understood that one victim was injured by a machete while struggling with one of the suspects.
