A GOVERNMENT employee in India has landed herself in hot water for leaving her superior officer locked in the office alone, Makkal Osai reported.
The woman, identified as Sangeetha, reportedly works as a village administrative assistant in Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu.
A few days ago, as she was about to go home at the end of the day, village administrative officer, Tamilarasi, told her not to lock the door.
Sangeetha ignored it and locked the door, despite her shocked boss shouting at her to stop.
Tamilarasi managed to record a video of her calling after Sangeetha from the office window to unlock the door but the woman simply ignored her, started her motorbike and rode off.
Tamilarasi then contacted her superior officers, who managed to convince Sangeetha to return to the office and open the door after about half an hour.
The video went viral online, triggering an outpouring of anger towards Sangeetha and demands for an investigation.
