Thunderstorms expected until 6pm in south-west of the peninsula


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning, forecasting severe weather conditions including heavy rain and strong winds across several states until 6pm on Sunday (Dec 22).

In a statement at 4pm on Sunday, MetMalaysia said adverse weather is expected over Selangor (Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang); the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah and Rembau); Melaka; and Johor (Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Baru).
