Malaysia Airlines cabin crew praised for professionalism during medical flights


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines cabin crew have been praised for their exceptional professionalism and dedication during a recent medical repatriation flight from Kuala Lumpur to Osaka, Japan.

Their actions were described as heroic by AK Aeromedical Services CEO Dr Kiran Chalam in a heartfelt post on the True Malaysia Airlines Fans Group on Facebook

Dr Kiran detailed the events of flight MH52 on Dec 16, where the crew worked seamlessly with the medical team to ensure the safety and comfort of a patient being transported.

"My heartfelt gratitude to the entire cabin crew for your exceptional support and professionalism during a medical repatriation on MH52 from Kuala Lumpur to Osaka.

The circumstances were undoubtedly challenging, but your experience, expertise, and calm composure were truly remarkable," he said.

Dr Kiran praised the crew's efficiency, saying that they coordinated effortlessly with the flight deck, medical staff, and ground personnel.

"Your attention to detail and coordination were seamless. It was clear that every effort was made to ensure the well-being of the patient and all passengers," he added.

Dr Kiran also praised their compassion throughout the journey.

"You were attentive, understanding, and continually reassured the patient and other passengers. The care you showed demonstrated the highest level of customer service and empathy," he said.

On his return flight MH53 on Dec 18, Dr Kiran said that he was fortunate to travel with the same crew. Despite facing another medical emergency mid-flight, he said their calmness and efficiency once again stood out.

"Their ability to stay composed while handling the situation ensured that everyone on board felt supported and safe.

From swiftly assessing the situation and coordinating with medical personnel to keeping all passengers informed and reassured, their teamwork was nothing short of amazing. This experience highlighted just how essential and skilled cabin crews are," he said.

He concluded the post by expressing his gratitude for their dedication and quick thinking.

"You all are real-life heroes," he said.
