A SIX-year-old girl was strangled to death by her stepmother on the advice of a shaman, Makkal Osai reported.

The woman placed her own child next to the dead girl’s body after the killing to avoid any suspicion.

The victim was found at home in the Ernakulam district of Kochi City, Kerala, by her father Ajaz Khan.

Khan initially thought the girl was just sleeping.

His second wife Aneesha eventually confessed to killing the girl.

Police have arrested her and a black magic practitioner for allegedly suggesting the murder.
