IT was quite a scene at a tourist spot when a man started throwing 100 yuan (RM61) notes from the ancient city wall of Dali in China’s Yunnan province, China Press reported.

He had scaled up the wall on Sunday and began tossing the money to the crowd below.

His action caused a mad scramble just outside the city gates as the people tried to catch as many bills as possible that were floating to the ground.

Some tourists, who managed to grab a handful of the notes, posted the incident on social media.

An employee at the Dali Ancient City Protection and Administration Bureau told reporters that the scene lasted only a few minutes as the man was escorted away by police and family members.

> The dog stood on its hind legs, clasping both its front paws together in what seemed like a praying gesture. Next to the female dog were its two pups.

China Press reported that all of them were inside a cage at a butcher’s stall in a market in Henan, China.

A woman, who spotted the dog’s gesture, felt that it was a plea for help.

So she bought all three dogs and took them home, thus saving them from ending up as someone’s dinner.
