PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s top leaders have extended their Christmas greetings, emphasising unity, harmony and strengthening family ties.
Agriculture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu called for the day to be an opportunity to nurture love, unity and harmony.
“Merry Christmas. Let us use this day to nurture love, unity and harmony,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday (Dec 25).
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil expressed hope that Malaysia’s unique diversity will continue to foster peace and harmony.
“Wishing a joyful Christmas to all Christians in Malaysia.
“May our uniquely diverse nation of cultures and races remain peaceful and harmonious,” he said.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo extended Christmas greetings on behalf of the Digital Ministry.
“This Christmas, as we communicate with loved ones across screens and digital spaces, let’s take a moment to appreciate the magic of technology in bringing us together even if we are separated by distance.

“As for those of us who are fortunate enough to be with loved ones physically, let us appreciate the spirit of this special time of the year — may we all cherish the love and the bonds that bind and unite us,” Gobind said.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution urged those travelling to drive safely and ensure the security of their homes.
“Merry Christmas to all friends celebrating, whether in Malaysia or abroad.
“For those travelling during the holidays, drive safely and ensure the security of your home while you’re away.
“May this festive season strengthen family bonds, friendships and unity in Malaysia,” he said.
