PETALING JAYA: Christmas cheer continues at the Housing and Local Government Ministry as staff from various departments come together to celebrate the holiday with joyful carols and colourful decorations.
Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming shared a clip of the ministry’s staff singing Christmas at the ministry's main lobby.
The video also features the main lobby was filled with Christmas trees, ornaments, and lights, reflecting the vibrant and diverse culture of Malaysia.
Staff members enthusiastically collaborated to celebrate the festive season and sang Christmas songs yesterday (Dec 24).
Nga expressed his delight at witnessing such unity among Malaysians during the celebration.
"Today is Christmas Eve. The ministry’s staff from various portfolios put up fabulous decorations and turned our main lobby into a scenic wonder.
It is so good to see that unity in diversity is now being celebrated in our country. Merry Christmas and have a blessed new year," the minister said in the clip posted on his official TikTok account.
Meanwhile, at the same platform, a group of Christmas carollers went viral due to their heartwarming display of religious harmony in Sarawak.
The 28-second clip shared by user @Joel.Orlando on Dec 17 featured a group of Christmas carollers from St Peter and Paul in Bakam, Miri, pausing their performance in order to show respect for the azan (call to prayer).

The video explained that the group on standby to perform was waiting for the azan to end.
Joel also captioned the video with, "This is the real respect we need.”
The video has since gained more than 4,000 likes since it was posted.
Users also commented on the video praising the group for showing respect and tolerance which other Malaysians should follow suit.
