Travel safely this Christmas, say Selangor Ruler and Tengku Permaisuri

PETALING JAYA: The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin have extended their Christmas greetings to Christians in Malaysia.

They hope that such celebrations will enhance respect, tolerance, and unity across the nation's diverse communities.

“Their Royal Highnesses hope that celebrations such as this will continue to foster mutual respect among communities, promote tolerance, and strengthen peace, prosperity and harmony among the country’s multiracial and multi-religious population,” said the statement posted on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page on Wednesday (Dec 25).

The royal couple also reminded road users to drive carefully and responsibly, particularly during the festive season, to avoid accidents caused by negligence.

“Their Royal Highnesses pray for everyone’s safe arrival at their intended destinations,” it added.
