Thunderstorm warnings issued for several states


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast across several states on Friday (Dec 27).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued the warning at 2.40pm.

Adverse weather is expected in Perak (Kinta, Kampar, Hilir Perak and Batang Padang) and Pahang (Cameron Highlands).

In Selangor, districts such as Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat are on alert.

The Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan are also included in the warning.

Negri Sembilan's Jelebu district is expected to experience severe weather conditions.

In Johor, Segamat and Kluang will be affected.

Sarawak's Limbang district and Sabah's interior, west coast and Sandakan (Tongod) are expected to experience thunderstorms until 5pm on Friday.
