Hit-and-run kills man on pedestrian path


KLANG: A hit-and-run incident has killed a 50-year-old man who was walking on a pedestrian path.

North Klang deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Rahimi Zainol said in a statement on Sunday (Dec 29) that the incident occurred on Dec 23 along Jalan Meru.

"Investigations showed that the incident occurred at around 8.15pm when the man was hit by an unknown car. The victim died from his head injuries and was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem."

"Until now there have been no reports lodged by the driver of the vehicle that had hit the victim," he said.

Supt Mohd Rahimi urged those with information to contact the police directly via traffic investigation officer Insp Ahmad Fadzli Abdulla at 017 584 3860, or their nearest police station.
