Businessman faces charges for insulting Pahang royal family on social media


KUALA LUMPUR: A 41-year-old businessman will be charged for allegedly insulting a member of the Pahang royal family three years ago.

The prosecution will be made by Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department ( CID) Special Investigation Unit (USJT) at the KL Sessions Court at 9am on Friday (Jan 3).

The man will be charged under Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.

The suspect has allegedly made the insulting remarks on Facebook and Instagram.
