He then proceeded directly to the crematorium to handle her final rites.
During an interview with the media, he said that he and his wife have three daughters, and the deceased was their eldest.
He expressed deep sorrow, saying it was difficult to accept his daughter’s passing, especially after seeing her disfigured remains this morning. He was unable to recognise her face when claiming the body.
“Now that my daughter has passed, the family can only helplessly accept this harsh reality,” he said.
He briefly added that all arrangements for his daughter’s final rites were entrusted to the funeral service provider, with her remains sent to the Cheras crematorium for cremation.
On Monday, the missing teenager’s body had been found in Banting after a DNA test matched with her mother.
