Pakatan not involved in rally for Najib, says PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan is not involved in the planned solidarity gathering on Monday (Jan 6) for convicted ex-prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“Pakatan is not involved,” the Prime Minister said briefly after visiting the Lestari Niaga Madani @ Wirawati food court here on Friday (Jan 3).

Anwar, who is Pakatan chairman, was asked for his views on the planned rally by unity government partner Umno that also involves opposition party PAS.

The solidarity gathering is planned for 9am on Monday (Jan 6) outside the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya.

The rally will be held in conjunction with the Court of Appeal’s hearing related to an alleged royal addendum order that will allow Najib to serve the rest of his prison term under house arrest.
