Incident involving Palestinians at Wisma Transit resolved without injuries, says Armed Forces


KUALA LUMPUR: An incident involving several Palestinian refugees at Wisma Transit here was resolved without any injuries or severe damage.

The Armed Forces said in a statement that the incident at about 5pm on Saturday (Jan 4) occurred when a group of Palestinians wanted the processing of their application to return home to be sped up.

“Armed Forces officers and personnel on duty there held discussions with the Palestinians involved. The matter was then resolved without any argument and injuries,” said the Armed Forces in a statement on Sunday (Jan 5).

“However, some of the furniture in the building had been damaged,” it added.

The Armed Forces then said that the incident was resolved at about 7pm.
