Two women among three burglars nabbed in Muar


MUAR: Police have arrested three locals including two females within 24 hours after allegedly carrying out house break-ins at Taman Temiang Utama here.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said a report was lodged about the incident at around 12.15pm on Sunday (Jan 5) where a video of the house break in gone viral on social media.

“Police spotted a white colour car that had been left along the side of a road along a bypass at Jalan Kim Lee here at around 12.07am on wee hours of Monday (Jan 6) morning.

“With the help from our motorcycle patrol (URB) and K-9 unit, we were able to detain the three suspects, who are in their 20’s, to assist with the investigation,” he said here on Monday (Jan 6).

ACP Raiz Mukhliz added with the suspects arrests, police have solved several break in cases that have been reported in the district before.

He also said that efforts were underway to locate other suspects involved in the case, which is being investigated under Section 453 of the Penal Code, Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1957.
