Woman killed out of jealousy, says suspect

SERDANG: Jealousy was what led to the murder of a woman in a hotel here, police say.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm AA Anbalagan said investigations into the murder led to the arrest of a 32-year-old Bangladeshi man in Putrajaya on Jan 3.

“Investigations showed that the suspect knew the victim. He also confessed to the murder, stating that jealousy was the main motive behind it,” he said in a statement.

The suspect has been remanded until Jan 10.

Previously, two foreigners were also arrested on Jan 1 to facilitate investigations into the murder.

On Dec 31 last year, a woman was found dead by hotel workers in a hotel room in Taman Mawar Puchong.
