Missing Kajang teen found safe

SEPANG: Teenager Nurul Fateha Nabila Mohd Zailani, who had been reported missing since the end of last month, has been found safe.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Norhizam Bahaman said the 17-year-old girl was found at a restaurant in Batu 9, Cheras at about 11.15pm on Monday (Jan 6).

"We discovered that she was spending time at a friend's home.

"We have informed her parents that we found her and she has since been returned to them," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 7).

It was reported that a missing persons report was lodged by the girl's aunt on Dec 31.

The teenager resides in Kampung Sungai Merab Luar in Kajang and had been living with the complainant (her aunt) since February last year after being brought home from a moral rehabilitation centre in Sabak Bernam, Selangor.

"Before her disappearance, she had locked herself in her room following a family dispute,” ACP Norhizam said.

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black sports trousers and was carrying a mobile phone.
