Sabah Dapsy annual convention on Jan 19

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah DAP Socialist Youth (Dapsy) will hold its annual convention on Jan 19.

Sabah Dapsy secretary Chan Loong Wei said on Tuesday (Jan 7) that the convention will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), with state DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe expected to officiate.

He said it would begin at 10am, with members from across the state expected to gather in to discuss the future direction and stance of the youth wing.

Dapsy national chief Woo Kah Leong is scheduled to attend as well.

Chan said this year will see a leadership election for the wing, with nominations having concluded on Dec 25.

It was reported that a unified team has been nominated by all divisions across Sabah to reflect a shared commitment to the wing's growth while addressing the people’s concerns.

He urged all representatives to arrive at the venue by 8.30am for registration and urged them to wear the party uniform or white shirts with black trousers.

They should also bring along their party membership cards or identification cards, he added.
