Beware of fake accounts impersonating SAPP president, says party info chief

KOTA KINABALU: Be wary of Facebook accounts impersonating Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) president Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee, warns the party's information chief Chin Vui Kai (pic).

"Please note that Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee has stopped using Facebook for years.

"Any accounts claiming to represent Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee, President of SAPP, are fraudulent," he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 9).

"We strongly advise the public not to engage with these accounts, share personal information, or respond to their messages.

"For official updates or communication, please refer to https://sapp.org.my," he said.

Chin also advised netizens coming across any such accounts to report them directly to the social media platform.
