Lorry driver injures leg in collision on LDP


PETALING JAYA: A lorry driver suffered a severe leg injury after accidentally ramming his vehicle into the back of another lorry along the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received the distress call at about 1.14pm on Thursday (Jan 9).

"Due to the impact, the lorry driver in his 30s, had his right leg trapped in a vehicle.

"We managed to get him out at about 1.40pm," he said in a statement on Thursday.

The driver broke his leg due to the accident, he said.

"He has been sent to medical personnel for treatment," he said.
