INFLUENCER Marissa Wong Wern Ching is known as the ‘toilet girl’ due to her popular videos on reviewing public toilets, Kosmo! reported.
Wong gave a score for each toilet she visited, adding that she randomly chose the toilets.
She said that she initially used English for her content on her toilet reviews, but reverted to Bahasa Malaysia.
“I started using Malay in my content and incorporating humour to make it more interesting and entertaining.
“I have faced situations where the toilet I visited was in a very bad condition, to the point where I couldn’t continue recording!” she was quoted as saying.
“(The perfect toilet) should be clean with good ventilation, not broken, has a bidet, and supplied with tissue and soap, with good lighting,” she said.
She said her content was aimed at being beneficial, and not to offend any party.
“It is to serve as a form of awareness so that those responsible can then take action to improve the condition of public toilets,” she said.
> Actress Juliana Evans refuses to play homewrecker roles in dramas as she feels it is demeaning to women and is not uplifting, Berita Harian reported.
Juliana, whose full name is Juliana Sophie Johari Evans, said she received several offers to play such roles but rejected them.
“It seems that almost all dramas now must have a homewrecker character. But for me, such roles are too easy, not challenging and very typical,” said the 36-year-old actress.
She said she did not want to be known for such roles.
“I want roles that highlight strong women, who protect and defend their rights. That is more beneficial than that of a homewrecker,” she said.
