Continuous heavy rain warning for Pahang and Johor


PETALING JAYA: A continuous heavy rain warning has been issued for parts of Pahang and Johor, with severe conditions expected.

Issued at 11.35am on Friday (Jan 10), the warning predicts very heavy rain in Rompin, Pahang, as well as several areas in Johor, including Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru, until Sunday (Jan 12).

Additionally, heavy rain is forecasted in Bera and Pekan in Pahang as well as Tangkak, Segamat and Muar in Johor.

A further alert for continuous rain has been issued for Terengganu in Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman along with Pahang's Jerantut, Maran and Kuantan.

Negri Sembilan, Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin are expected to experience ongoing rain.

Melaka and several regions in Sarawak, including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Bintulu, are also under watch until Sunday.
