SINGER Michael Wong (pic) has contributed to the post-disaster rebuilding of the earthquake-stricken Tibet, reported Sin Chew Daily.
He was among 28 celebrities who had donated a total of 5.74 million yuan (about RM3.53mil) through singer Han Hong’s Love Charity Foundation.
The funds will be used to provide warm clothing for the disaster-stricken people and support rebuilding efforts.
It was reported that at least 126 people were killed and 188 injured following the 7.1-magnitude earthquake on Jan 7.

China Press reported that some people have noted the lack of interest in discounted concert tickets, with no takers even when prices dropped to as low as 115 yuan (RM70) for the show in Dongguan, Guangdong province.
One commented: “So Wing Hong is in such a bad situation in Dongguan.”
Others complained that the ticket prices were still too high.
According to the daily, there were no more discounted tickets, but tickets priced at 388 yuan (about RM238) and 588 yuan (about RM361) were still available.So, 57, became famous with the song Men Shouldn’t Make Women Cry, and later gained even more popularity for his role in the TVB drama Healing Hands.
He reached the peak of his career when he released the classic song The More I Kiss, the More It Hurts.
He took a break from his career due to drug-related issues. In recent years, he has enjoyed being a family man, focusing more on his career development in China.
At his concert in Malaysia last year, So jokingly referred to himself as “past his prime”.
