Three men killed after car plunges into floodwaters in Kota Tinggi


KOTA TINGGI: Three men lost their lives after the car they were in skidded and plunged into floodwaters on Saturday (Jan 11) evening.

Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Station chief Shawaluddin Ami Nordin reported that the department received a call about the incident at Ladang YPJ, Ulu Sedili, at 4.40pm.

"Their car was believed to have skidded and plunged into the floodwaters. There were three victims involved. Upon arrival, we found one victim, while two others were missing. A rescue operation was then launched to search for the two others," he said in a statement.

The second victim was found at about 11.10pm, while the third victim was located at 12.10am on Sunday (Jan 12).

"The bodies of the victims have been handed over to the police for further action," he added, noting that the operation concluded at about 12.40am on Sunday (Jan 12).
