Cops investigating suspected arson case after content creator's car burns in Shah Alam


SUNGAI BULOH: A suspected case of arson is under investigation after a content creator's car was found burnt.

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor stated that on Jan 12, the victim, a 39-year-old Nigerian man, parked his car along Seksyen U4 in Shah Alam before heading off to film a video.

Upon his return at around 1.05pm, he discovered that his car had been burnt.

"The Fire and Rescue Department arrived to extinguish the fire, and their forensics team conducted an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire," he said.

Following the investigations, police have classified the case as "Mischief By Fire" under Section 435 of the Penal Code.

"Those with information are urged to contact their nearest police station or the investigating officer, Insp Ekmal Hasif Mohd Noor, at 011-3539 6787," he added.
