King visits flood victims in Kota Tinggi

KOTA TINGGI: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, visited flood victims in the Kota Tinggi district on Monday (Jan 13).

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, His Majesty visited two temporary relief centres (PPS) at SJKC New Kota and SRA Bersepadu Kota Tinggi here.

"The two PPS are currently housing approximately 390 flood victims from 106 families,” the post read.

His Majesty was accompanied by state secretary Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani, Johor police chief Datuk M. Kumar and Kota Tinggi district officer Miswan Yunus.

As of 11am Monday, Johor recorded 3,776 flood victims housed at 37 PPS, with Kota Tinggi registering the highest number of evacuees at 1,322, followed by Johor Baru (780), Kulai (546), Pontian (595) and Kluang (533). - Bernama
