Caught in a flash: Sepang cops nab worker who exposed himself to woman


SEPANG: A maintenance worker has been detained for allegedly exposing himself to a woman near Savanna Southville City here on Monday (Jan 13).

The 32-year-old man was detained at Labohan Dagang at about midnight after a police report was lodged by the victim.

Sepang deputy OCPD Supt Shan Gopal said the suspect was sitting in his car and called out to the victim in a public area.

"The victim approached the vehicle and found the suspect with his pants down and his private parts exposed.

"After the victim lodged a police report, we detained the suspect and seized his car," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 14).

The suspect did not have a criminal record, he added.

"He has been remanded for three days and we are investigating under Section 509 of the Penal Code," he added.

Earlier, a 48-second video went viral on social media showing a woman being called by an unknown man in his car.

After realising that the woman is recording him while she scolds him, the man drives off.
