CYBERJAYA: Malaysia aims to empower start-ups, facilitate collaboration and drive the commercialisation of innovative solutions through initiatives such as the Malaysia Startup Ecosystem Roadmap 2021-2030 and the MyStartup platform.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang said the ministry remains steadfast in its commitment to create an environment that nurtures innovation and entrepreneurship.
He said Cyberjaya, as Malaysia’s Global Tech Hub and a key innovation sandbox, plays a pivotal role in this mission.
The initiatives of the Cyberview Living Lab Accelerator (CLLA) – one of the earliest accelerator programmes in Malaysia – exemplify this vision by bridging the gap between innovation and impact across various value chains.
“Since its inception in 2013, CLLA has been instrumental in empowering over 129 start-ups, securing more than RM263mil in investments and generating an impressive RM837mil in revenue,” he said.Chang was speaking at the CLLA Cohort 19 Demo Day and the programme’s 10th anniversary celebrations here yesterday.
Also present were Cyberview Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Romli lshak and chief executive officer Kamarul Ariffin Abdul Samad, Bernama reported.
