Teen found dead after falling from 14th floor of Kuala T'ganu apartment


PETALING JAYA: A 17-year-old boy was found dead after he was believed to have fallen from the 14th floor of an apartment in Kuala Terengganu on Thursday (Jan 16).

It was reported that a cleaner who was sweeping the floor in the apartment at around noon on Thursday found the boy's body.

Kuala Terengganu OCPD Asst Comm Azli Mohd confirmed the incident and said that so far, there were no criminal elements in the incident, but further investigations are still ongoing.

"Based on interviews with the victim's friends, the boy came from Machang, Kelantan and was staying on the 14th floor of the apartment.

"No criminal elements have been found but further investigations are still being conducted," he was quoted as saying by Malay language daily Sinar Harian.

Azli said the victim's body was sent to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) for post mortem and the case has been classified as sudden death.
