Four escape unhurt in Tambun house fire


IPOH: Four family members escaped unhurt when their house in Tambun here caught fire.

A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a distress call was made at 2.04am on Wednesday (Jan 22), and firemen arrived at the scene six minutes after the call was made.

He said the four people, aged between 23 and 57, were brought out of the house safely.

“When firemen arrived at the house, the fire had engulfed the tableware and a television in the living hall.

“The door was locked and firemen had to break open to get in with the help from the police.

“The victims were in the rooms upstairs sleeping, and they were brought to safety without sustaining any injuries,” he added.
