AFTER more than 40 years in the music industry, legendary rock singer Datuk Amy Search is set to perform in his first solo concert at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, on April 26.
Harian Metro reported that the concert is expected to be a significant moment in Amy’s career, which has spanned about 44 years in the music industry.
“I accepted the invitation from the organisers last year. It’s undeniable that many have asked me to hold a solo concert, but I always had the excuse of not being ready.
“But because this offer came from concert director Jennifer Thompson, I immediately accepted because I wanted a team of creative and experienced talents.
“Every song I will sing at the event is a reflection of the colours of my life. Every note and lyric carries a different story, symbolising the ups and downs I’ve gone through in the music industry.”
Amy denied he was being too picky when he declined several offers to hold his solo concert.
“I need the right people and the right time before agreeing to hold a concert. The songs I will perform are not just hits, but also life experiences that have shaped who I am today. Fans will be able to see a personal side of me that they rarely know,” he said.
