Deputy public prosecutor Nadia Ezzati Mohd Zainal then informed the court thaat the post mortem, chemistry, forensic and medical reports were not ready.

She also declined to offer bail to the suspects.

Magistrate Nurul Saqinah then fixed Feb 27 for mention at the Port Dickson Magistrate's Court.

The suspects were detained last week after police found the remains of a baby girl stuffed in a bag in a house.

The victim had injuries believed to have been caused by a knife.

Police were alerted to the case by staff at Hospital Port Dickson on Jan 21 when Nurul Ain, who was seeking postnatal treatment, could not produce her baby when asked by doctors.

A preliminary police probe indicated that the suspects committed the crime as they did not want their families to know that Nurul Ain had given birth.

Police also seized a knife which was believed to have been used in the crime.

Muhammad Emer is unemployed while Nurul Ain works part-time at a fast food outlet.
