PETALING JAYA: The meeting between the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, which was scheduled for Wednesday (March 5), has been postponed.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, who confirmed this, said his officers would record Ismail Sabri's statement on March 7 instead.
He said that the former prime minister is still on medical leave until March 6.
"Because of this, we cannot record his statement tomorrow (March 5) as planned.
"We will call him on March 7 instead when his medical leave is over," said Azam when contacted on Tuesday (March 4).
It was reported that Ismail Sabri is scheduled to arrive at the headquarters at around 10.30am on Wednesday for questioning.
On March 3, the MACC said they would record Ismail Sabri's statement over his asset declaration and the cases currently being investigated.
Azam had also said that Ismail Sabri is a suspect in an ongoing MACC investigation.
