CM calls Sabahans to work on preserving unity and harmony in early Raya message


KOTA KINABALU: Work together to preserve unity and harmony, urged Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in his early Hari Raya message.

"Let us work together, irrespective of race and religion, for progress, development, and to enhance the rakyat's wellbeing,” he said in a statement on Saturday (March 29).

“On the government's part, we are always listening and sensitive to the needs of the people and taking actions to resolve the problems and issues they face," he said.

Hajiji said on this auspicious Hari Raya Aidilfitri, it was important to remember the less fortunate and to extend hands and hearts to help those in need.

"In the spirit of giving and kindness that is at the heart of Aidilfitri, may we all strive to uplift and support one another, strengthening the spirit of community and unity that this celebration embodies," he said.

"As we celebrate, let us not forget to express our gratitude for the strength and resilience we have shown during Ramadan,” he added.

Hajiji said this time of fasting and reflection has brought Muslims closer to their faith, reminding them of the importance of patience, perseverance, and understanding.

“On behalf of the State Government and my family, I would like to wish Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin to all Muslims celebrating,” he added.
