Malaysians in Qatar advised to remain vigilant

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Embassy in Doha has issued a notice advising Malaysians in Qatar to remain vigilant following the latest developments in the Gulf region.

The embassy urged Malaysians to stay alert and be aware of their surroundings, while complying with all safety instructions issued by the Qatari authorities.

The embassy also advised Malaysians not to be influenced by false information or spread rumours, and to avoid areas near military bases.

“Malaysians are reminded to check the latest flight schedules before travelling from Qatar and to ensure their personal and family information is updated with their respective focal points.

“Those requiring assistance or advice could contact the embassy at +97433746733 or email at mwdoha@kin.gov.my,” it said in a statement on July 24.

The statement said the embassy would continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates from time to time.
